Oil, Global Positioning, & Police State

By Kirt R. Poovey

The war has started.  May God have mercy on us for initiating this war.  I pray that it ends quickly to minimize the loss of American lives and Iraqi lives.

Saddam Hussein was no threat to the U.S. if we had left him alone.  This is not from the liberals.  This is from analyzing the available evidence put forth by the Bush administration and all other available intelligence information.  Saudi Arabia funded and continues to fund radical Al Qaeda supporters and the suicide bombers in Israel.  Why not attack them?  China and Russia have supplied and continue to supply Iraq with military technology capable of hindering any attack we would launch against them.  Should we also attack them?

This war that the U.S. has initiated is NOT about Weapons of Mass Destruction, terrorism, or anything else the administration has put forward.  Quite simply it is about three things – Oil, Global Positioning of U.S. troops, and greater control over U.S. citizens.

U.S. citizens should be fearful of the loss of their rights because if they are not, then they are playing directly into the hands of those in control.  It is precisely the same method that Hitler used in setting up his control over Germany.  Unfortunately most conservatives seem to be lapping up the propaganda put out by the Bush administration.  Conservatives need to open their eyes and see the truth before it is too late!

Some of the liberals were calling it accurately while conservatives are blinded by their "saint", President G.W. Bush.  Would the conservatives be so gung ho if it were Clinton pushing the war button?  Conversely would the liberals be calling for caution if it were Clinton?  Unfortunately, it appears that most liberals and conservatives are sheep willing to follow their leader to slaughter.  I for one will stand against any liberal or conservative who leads in an unconstitutional manner.  Bush and Clinton both fall into that category I am sorry to say.

The first strike was on Baghdad at about 5:30 a.m. Baghdad time.  It was reportedly a surgical strike against one or more of the top five leaders in Iraq – Saddam Hussein being one of those.  Apparently Saddam himself has survived the attack

We are practicing and applying new techniques of battle and testing new coordination of moves between all of our military forces including Special Operation forces within Iraq itself.  With each new war action we gain more experience with new weapons systems and more information on tactical operations.

Saddam has promised to attack the United States on its own soil if we attacked him.  Now we will find out if he can and will carry through on his threat.  We know that there are thousands of Iraqis in the United States, both those we know about and those we do not the whereabouts of.

Many of these Iraqis are former Iraqi soldiers who were allowed into the U.S. after the first Gulf War against Iraq.  Supposedly, they are on our side – can we be so sure of that, or could they be agents of Saddam Hussein?

Since our federal government refuses to put the military on our borders to protect us from invasion by stealth or by overt action, we must as individuals take it upon ourselves to be vigilant and to guard ourselves, our families, our neighbors, and our communities against any terrorist activity by Iraqis or others who wish to show support for Iraq, or just plain animus against the United States.

May God have mercy on us all

"We will stand, fight, and die to defend our country; but we will not blindly trust it.  Even our Founding Fathers distrusted a large, centralized, all-powerful federal government -- so should we.  Always be on guard to discern the truth and defend it at all costs."
