Recently Jeff Nyquist discussed this device on the Steel on Steel Radio Show (www.steelonsteel.com) with host John Loeffler. Mercury antimony oxide powder can theoretically be compressed with special technology into a gel which can be used to trigger both conventional and fusion bombs. It could be used to detonate heavy hydrogen which would produce twice the yield with a one-hundred-fold decrease in the weight of an equivalent fission device fusion bomb. It would be a perfect fusion bomb with no radioactive fallout. The only radiation released would be during the fusion reaction. Current sensors in satellites and on the ground would not be able to detect its transport. Sam Cohen, the inventor of the neutron bomb, believes Russia has developed such a red mercury device as do others in the nuclear field. 
Russia and China are the main suppliers of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) to nations such as Iraq, Iran, North Korea, and others. Without our "friends", Iraq would not have any WMD's for President Bush to be afraid of. Are we going after the wrong countries? (See update below)
If the explosion in Bali was a micro nuclear device, could it have been a red mercury bomb? There has been no radioactivity discovered, but the massive amount of destruction and the type of destruction would indicate something other than conventional explosives -- even large amounts of conventional explosives. A recent news article attributed the "individuals responsible" for the explosion to having acquired 100 pounds of high explosive. Could one hundred pounds of conventional high explosive cause that much damage and resultant fire? Check out the following link to see the story on Bali. Although there is enormous damage at Bali, the question remains -- what type of bomb was it? The picture below of the Bali "micro nuke cloud" does not confirm a nuclear explosion. Careful analysis of the cloud indicates that the orange coloring on the cloud is most likely a reflection of the fire below. This is a common phenomena. Compare it to a picture of a real nuclear explosion (albeit much larger) below. In this picture the bright white heat is in the cloud and reflecting on the dust clouds below. The question at Bali becomes why such an intense fire is associated with the massive damage. Most conventional explosives (unless in large quantities) produce no massive fire -- unlike what is seen in the movies.
A large volume of high explosives will create a super-heated fireball which will cause radiant-heat-generated fires (see sequence of pictures below)(100 ton explosion), but massive fires are usually generated by a fuel explosion. Could it have been a combination of a fuel explosion and conventional explosives? One thing seems to be certain from the pictures and information available -- 100 pounds of conventional explosives was not enough to cause the damage.

In March 19, 2002, testimony before the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee, CIA Director George Tenet claimed (and rightly so) that Russia is "the first choice of proliferant states seeking the most advanced technology and training." According to the above listed article by Nyquist "what the CIA director could not say, and perhaps what makes President George W. Bush so desperately eager to wipe out the regime of Saddam Hussein, is that Russia may have given red mercury fusion technology to Saddam." According to one of Nyquist's sources, Iraq possesses "s-megaton" micro-nuclear warheads. "These are softball sized two-megaton fusion bombs triggered by an irradiated and compressed compound of mercury antimony oxide. This device doubles the nuclear yield with a hundredfold reduction of weight. Using heavy hydrogen instead of uranium or plutonium to fuel its explosive reaction, this hand-held nuclear weapon cannot be detected by U.S. sensors."
Russia has compression technology surpassing America's because we chose to abandon the research into this field back in the 50's. Russia has been rumored to have developed the technology in the mid 60's and in the 90's perfected the perfect fusion bomb. They have reportedly been selling the technology to other nations since then, but the U.S. maintains that the red mercury they have analyzed is fake. However as Nyquist reports, it would appear that "American intelligence has evidence of something dire, something they don't want to tell us."
An article from WorldNetDaily quotes STRATFOR, a private intelligence firm with inside connections, regarding this security crisis. "Tenet delivered a blunt message to Putin: The United States believes that WMD proliferation is official Russian policy", and Russia "faces the distinct possibility of attacks on Russian weapons facilities and the potential elimination of (Russia's) nuclear capability." THE U.S. IS THREATENING RUSSIA WITH A NUCLEAR STRIKE?!
As Nyquist says, "Only a very desperate crisis would trigger such unthinkable verbiage out of our bloodless bean counters." Nyquist also mentions that "another respected intelligence firm, DEBKA File,...(says) the White House is seriously considering tactical nuclear strikes against Iraq. This drastic approach can only be explained -- once again-- by a dire, immediate and frightening Iraqi potential. If not for this, U.S. leaders would hardly expend precious political and (diplomatic) capital by pushing so aggressively for the eradication of Saddam's regime in Baghdad." DEBKA also says that Vice President Cheney "received intelligence during his recent Middle East trip that Iraq had already transferred nuclear weapons to Al Qaeda, along with weaponized smallpox...(and that) some of these munitions may have been smuggled into the United States."
Delmart Vreeland who claims to be a lieutenant with the Office of Naval Intelligence (denied by our government) is in a Canadian prison and accurately predicted Black Tuesday (9/11) in a letter he gave to prison authorities before 9/11. According to Mr. Vreeland he and another agent (who is now dead) "retrieved" some documents from Russia. One of them is shocking! According to Nyquist (who reviewed one of the documents and interviewed Vreeland) the document which is a communique from K. Hussaine of Iraq to V. Putin of Russia says that 9/11 will be a diversionary strike "attributed to the work of 'our brothers'. The real attack, says the Iraqi official, will involve the use of 'new s-megaton mini satellite [guided] rocket[s].' This is a weapon that would be smuggled into the United States, and better resembles a small robot aircraft than a missile. The striking power of this satellite guided toy rocket is listed as two megatons." The document says, "The shock wave from the air burst of our two megaton mini combined with its own reflection from the ground will form a blast wave of such power that everything will be destroyed...within 8 to 13 U.S. mile of ground zero." The document according to Nyquist also refers to "a top secret Russian stealth satellite termination system (called S.S.S.T.). According to Vreeland, this is a stealth orbital platform armed with clusters of electromagnetic pulse bombs capable of knocking out global communications and frying U.S. nuclear warheads leaving the Western Hemisphere."
If this information is true, then the U.S. is indeed in dire straits. No wonder that President Bush and his administration is pushing so hard against Iraq and threatening Russia with nuclear strikes. Because of our stupidity in previous years we may well have given the Russians and their terrorist friends the upper hand. As Nyquist points out, by holding "Russia directly responsible for Russian-supported and Iraqi-directed nuclear terrorism against the American homeland...and by mopping up Iraq, the United States might reestablish that same 'balance of terror' that kept the peace during the Cold War."
Russian Atomic Energy Minister Viktor Mikhailov once spoke "of a new kind of bomb that could devastate 'foreign territory' while carrying no risk of retaliation...(and also) described the existence of 'little bombs' that 'could appear by the year 2000'." Sounds like they have appeared! Bali might be one. Sounds like the U.S. got caught with its pants down. Why else the hardline push against Iraq and the claim that no matter what the 12,000 pages of documents say -- the U.S. makes claim that there is evidence that proves Iraq has WMD's?
Could it be that Iraq has not yet finished the 2-megaton red mercury fusion bombs that will be smuggled in across our southern border with Mexico and used to target our cities; and that is why we are so desperately seeking Saddam's elimination, or are we trying to prevent the construction of additional bombs? Is Bali evidence that red mercury micro nukes are in existence and being used by al Qaeda or other terrorists? Have you watched the movie, The Sum of All Fears? You should, and remember, the book used Islamic terrorists as the bad guys.
